EVENT DESCRIPTION

Organised by the Brisbane City Council, the Green Heart Fair is a family-friendly community event promoting innovative green living. Over 100 leading sustainability groups, organisations, eco experts, conservationists, foodies, artisans and businesses will be present on the day sharing their knowledge and information, helping the community to live more green and clean.

A full program of non-stop entertainment is planned for the main stage, including many of Brisbane's leading local bands. Sustainability workshops will be running throughout the day, featuring green home and garden tips, outlining how to lower the household's impact on the environment while enjoying an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Leading Queensland and celebrity chefs will be showing off their culinary skills with demonstrations on maximising flavour with minimal waste; turning leftovers into mouth-watering meals, and working with home-grown herbs and vegetables.

A wide range of Food Trucks will be on-site offering a delicious assortment of multicultural tastes and flavours, including gluten-free and Vegan options

There's children's entertainment galore highlighted by live performances, hands-on activities, wildlife displays, interactive sports and games.

With over 25% of the average Brisbane Residential bin including food waste, this is a great opportunity to learn how to reduce our impact on the environment, while enjoying a healthier lifestyle.
