Jubilee's ride rules focus on certain behavioral requirements, mandatory safety restraint compliance, strict height minimum restrictions and a zero-tolerance policy for line/queue jumping.
Unfortunately, most amusement rides cannot operate in adverse weather such as rain, strong winds and extreme heat. For the safety of our guests, closure of the rides may be required under certain conditions including:
Amusement rides generally stop operations during a rain shower, and recommence when the shower passes. Rides cannot operate during steady light/heavy rain due to safety risks of slips, falls etc.
Wind gusts are monitored by supervisors using an Anemometer. When the wind is too strong for Pop Up marquees to remain upright when erected (around 40kph), then the public is at risk of injury due to flying debris and safety concerns generally force amusement ride closure.
Extreme heat of 35 degrees or more presents health and safety risks due to sun exposure. The seats of some attractions can become very hot and extremely uncomfortable to sit on, resulting in skin burns. The floors and exposed slides on inflatable amusement devices can become too hot for safe use, and can lead to skin/friction burns.
Should inclement weather force the closure of an amusement device, operators will make every effort to re-open the ride once it is safe to do so.
