EVENT DESCRIPTION

A favorite event for the whole family, the Redcliffe KiteFest is one of Australia's premier weekend kite festivals, attracting domestic and international kite flyers to compete at Pelican Park in Clontarf on the Redcliffe Peninula. From 9am to 4pm each day, the sky will fill with kites of all shapes and sizes as the world's best kite flyers demonstrate their skills in the Kite Flying Arena.

A full program of fabulous live entertainment will be scheduled for the festival main stage, featuring some of South-East Queensland's best young performers, bands and children's entertainers.

The Kitefest Kids Zone will come alive each day from 9am to 4pm filled with a wide variety of low-cost and free entertainment and activities for the younger children to 10 years of age. One of the highlights of Kids Zone is Flutter the Fairy and her Magical stage show where youngsters can enjoy various activities, story time and free face painting.

Enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere with roving performers, market stalls, food trucks, community displays and carnival rides ensure a fabulous day out for all ages.
