For over 70 years, the annual Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers has been a spectacular celebration of all things spring, featuring a stunning program of 60 plus events and local experiences each September. From the sweet-smelling colour and spectacle of our award-winning parks and private gardens; to world-class entertainment, the fascinating street parade and unique dining experiences; you will have a hard time deciding where to start your breath-taking floral adventure.

Dine in style at the Opening Night Gala Dinner in beautiful Laurel Bank Park. This is a magical evening under the stars where guests experience the very best in local produce and wine. Treat the tastebuds to more mouth-watering offerings at the Festival of Food and Wine - three days of great sounds, gourmet tastings and award-winning wines fresh from rich orchards, vineyards and pastures of the legendary Southern Queensland Country region.

The iconic Grand Central Floral Parade is one of many must-see events where over 100,000 people line the main street of the Garden City, experiencing the spectacle of street performers, stilt walkers and stunning floral floats making the journey through the city centre to Queens Park.

Dedicated park, community and private gardeners spend much of the year preparing Toowoomba for this wonderful 10 day event. Places of interest include Laurel Bank Park, Queens Park, Peacehaven Botanic Park, Picnic Point Parklands, Japanese Garden Ju Raku En, Boyce Gardens and the Spring Bluff Railway Station Gardens - all featuring featuring floral displays, leafy landscapes and panoramic views. Morning and afternoon guided tours are available of award-winning public and private gardens.

No carnival is complete without the fun and excitement of Sideshow Alley! For three days, Frogs Hollow in Lower Queens Park will come alive with spectacular show rides, carnival games and traditional fairground sweets. Whether you are in the need for some speed, or longing for a bump'n thump'n good time on the Dodgems, there's magical memorable moments awaiting all ages.
