Signature event of the Scenic Rim's annual Eat Local Week, Winter Harvest Festival is a family-friendly day out for all ages celebrating the farming, food and wine industries of the Queensland Scenic Rim region.
The festival is a great opportunity to experience the amazing quality of locally grown produce - meats, fresh fruit and vegetables, tangy cheeses, delectable wines and much more.
Held at the Aratula Sports Complex, guests are welcome to sample local cheeses, breads, honeys and fudge. An extensive array of fresh produce and local products will be on sale, along with cooking demonstrations, displays and exhibits.
This is a food lovers paradise, with producers and food trucks serving up a smorgasbord of fresh restaurant-quality dishes, snacks, cakes, sweets and desserts. Relax with a wine or craft beer, while being entertained by live music in the picturesque country style setting at Aratula.
One of the festival's many highlights, is the Tractor Pulling Competition, where local teams pull a 12-tonne tractor over set distances in a race against the clock.
